We are an established business operating since the 1980s. We currently have a fleet of six vehicles available for Private Hire, Executive Hire, Fixed Tours and Wedding Hire.
Working hours are calculated every Monday and paid either by cheque or directly into your bank account, whatever is preferable. Total hours worked is calculated by the minute. I.e. if you work for 5 hours 50 minutes that’s exactly the time you will be paid for. Rounding up hours is not acceptable.
Job Position: Relief Driver to cover below mentioned services
General Hours
Currently Relief Only with a possibility of part time in the future.
Early morning and late evening shifts will be expected occasionally.
Pay
£5.75 - £7.50 Per Hour before tax dependent upon duty.
Benefits
Meal allowance available for certain long jobs depending upon their duration and overtime rates applicable for certain early morning jobs.
Long Distance City & Airport Transfers with some Local Fixed Hours.

As outlined in the Highland Councils Private Hire Drivers Licence Terms.

Job Description
To undertake our fixed tours its important to be able to answer clients’ questions.
A good general knowledge of both ancient and recent history must be attained for the
places of interest that our fixed tours pass and visit as advertised on this website.
Suitability
These positions may possibly suit fit able-bodied retired persons of smart appearance with free time on their hands and a keen interest in driving. Or simply persons with a lot of available spare time.
Applicants should be comfortable in dealing with the public and be prepared to work occasional shifts at short notice. Ideally applicants should be within a 20-minute drive or less from our base and have their own transport to get to and from our base.
Our Vehicles
You must have experience in driving vehicles of equal size or larger than the vehicles
in our fleet as advertised on this website. Experience with both automatic and manual
transmissions would be advantageous.
Our drivers have the sole responsibility for the safe keeping of our vehicles while in their possession.
Drivers Licence
A clean drivers licence held for 24 months minimum

Licence Required
Private Hire or Taxi Licence
A current Highland Council Private Hire or Taxi Driver’s Licence will be beneficial, as it’s a requirement for the job. A new application costs £180.00 and the licence runs for three full years.
Licence Funding
Possible assistance may be given towards the licence fee for the right applicants provided we have a signed contract of their intentions to be available for the duration of the licence and use the licence solely to do work for us. Braking with this prerequisite would result in a legally binding commitment to refund us any fees we paid toward your Highland Council private hire car drivers licence application.
Outlined Duties
Drivers are expected to be versatile and be able to undertake all outlined duties,
while being adaptable and able to switch between different driving jobs and
vehicles with ease.
No Smoking Policy
We operate a strict No Smoking Policy, which is applicable for all working hours
under our employ without exception.
Work Initiative
Drivers are required to work on their own initiative if and when our work schedule dictates and they must be able to abide by the rules, guide lines and polices as outlined by our company without exception.
This is a long-term employment opportunity for somebody looking for some extra income. So we are looking for drivers with a long-term outlook. We would be looking to offer successful applicants the next part time positions to become available provided both they and us are equally satisfied after a trial period working together on relief driver basis.

Generally weekend Weddings with the Duration of Wedding Car Hire usually lasting between 3 to 4 hours
Pay
£40.00 per wedding up to 4 hours, time therafter paid at £7.50 per hour
